JeffRaymond.net Portfolio Website
A page about this very site- it’s a feedback loop, like pointing a video camera at a screen displaying the image from the camera, which is of the screen displaying an image from the camera, and madness ensues. It’s turtles all the way down.
My primary objective in developing this site was to create something clean, simple and elegant in its layout and interface. And, hopefully, something pleasing to the eye. It was built using web standards, fully-validating hand-coded XHTML/CSS and table-less markup. Nothing Flash™-y! Since buzzwords are fun, these others are also relevant: a liquid grid-based layout, baselined text and web typography (here using Monotype’s webfonts.fonts.com service.) I created a modified version of Markus Hay’s Lytebox script to display image enlargements.
